2021 Galactic Saber League Legion season. All matches will be weekly 1v1 matches. COVID-19 protocols will be in effect to minimize exposure. Players must wear a mask. Players must bring their equipment required to play, and there can be no sharing. Galactic Saber will require social distancing. Galactic Saber League will use the Chess Elo rating for league standing. All players will have a starting rating of 1000. Your Elo rating will determine your placement in the league finals and tournaments. Both players must be rated for a match to count for Elo rating. Ranked players can agree a match will be for fun and not for ranking. Galactic Saber will live stream on twitch or youtube most regular-season games. The finals will be streamed as well. If the U.S. goes into lockdown, officially ranked games will be suspended, and we will freeze your Elo ranking. Season registration is FREE. The Finals Tournament will take place in the fall. It will cost $20 to register per tournament entered. Tournament dates will be announced at a later date. Galactic Saber will reward 1st place winners 25% of the prize pool as instore credit to the winners favorite game store. 15% of the prize pool will go to the 2nd place winner as instore credit. 10% of the prize pool will go to 3rd place. * For 1v1 matches held at a game store, a $5 donation or purchase from players is required. Players can coordinate with the store to arrange a bulk purchase. *GSL will follow Fantasy Flight Games or Atomic Mass Games official and current rule reference.
