I'm interested in funding a business as a silent partner. I currently own two successful businesses, so I bring much more to the table than just money. However, though I will be there for guidance and to ensure the business makes the right moves and runs and grows profitably, I DO NOT want to be involved in the day to day running of the business. I am looking for a partner who has a dream to be their own boss in a business they are passionate about. Very specifically, I want someone who knows and cares about the concept they are looking to work in. My ideal partner is someone who is really good at whatever their business interest is... wants to do that trade/activity/business segment as their life's work... and has extensive experience and knowledge within that industry/market. I'm not looking for people who want to invent or design something... I'm looking for a traditional business venture. For example: Are you a foreman or estimator for an excavation company and you know you could run a better business than your employer? We may be a match. Are you a cabinet maker...the best in your company... and you want to open your own shop but don't know about running the business or have the money? We may be a match. Are you a world class fisherman but don't have the money for the boat and don't know how to handle the marketing to start your own guide business? We may be a match. Have you spent the last 15 years working in property management and would be interested in starting your own company but need some help? We might be a match. You've had 10 years experience in a great kitchen working under someone else... you know you have what it takes to be a head chef and you know exactly the restaurant you want to have.... We might be a match. Let me know what you'd truly love to do and why you're qualified to do it, and what you see as the roadblocks that keep you from getting there where I may be able to help.
