Hi! My name is Alexis and I sing, write, play guitar, and I’m starting to play a little bit of ukulele. I am also starting to teach myself keyboard because my proficiency is extremely basic and I need to step it up. Lol! Anyway, I am looking for musicians to write with primarily. I’m especially looking for a drummer, bassist, lead guitarist, and keyboardist. Eventually, I’d like to record and maybe play out a bit. I’m not married to any genre in particular but here are some of my biggest influences: Florence + The Machine, Ben Howard, Hozier, Sia, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Gotye, Tash Sultana, Queen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Cage the Elephant, and many more. I’ve also been influenced greatly by jazz, classical, and film and television scores. I have a soft spot for those genres. I really do enjoy all genres though so that’s why it’s been hard to figure out what genre my music even is. If I had to describe it, I’d say it’s indie pop/rock with slight jazz influences. Also, I’m twenty-eight so I would prefer people close to my age but I don’t really care about your age if we’re musically compatible.
