Want to compost at home, but don't know how to get started? Come learn about home composting and build your own worm bin! Supplies provided. Did you know that humans produce one pound of organic waste a day? Over a lifetime, that's nearly 30,000 pounds of organic waste! But most of this can be eliminated simply by composting your kitchen scraps at home. This class will walk you through the simple steps of creating and maintaining a vermicomposting (worm) bin that can be kept in your home on a shelf or in a cabinet (NO smell, we promise). The size bin we are making can manage the waste of one person and turn it into 40 pounds of pure compost over the course of a year.  You will get all supplies needed to build a worm bin, including 1,000 worms (woah), a bin, bedding, and instructions on how to maintain your bin. We'll walk you through building your bin, every step of the way!
