Come hear Baltimore's finest Roots Musicians in a unique and wonderfully resonant space in the heart of Canton. ​Music on the Square is a concert series held at Church on the Square in the heart of Canton in Baltimore, MD. This years’ “Baltimore Roots Music” series will feature an array of the area’s finest musicians. Each artist is deeply rooted in one of the many musical traditions alive here in Baltimore. Come every second Friday of the month (January-April) to connect with your city and your musical community. --Have you ever said to yourself-- "How can I see more roots music here in Baltimore?" "Where can I go to hear music in a beautiful resonant space?" "How can I connect with the Baltimore roots music scene?" ​ Look no further, because the Music on the Square series has all of that happening in a wonderfully resonant space in the heart of Canton. Come enjoy some of the finest roots music every second Friday of the month and connect with your music community here in Baltimore. --Music on the Square 2022 Calendar-- January 14: Brooks Long - Brooks is songster, a soulful, energetic yet soothing human jukebox. His collection of songs are as deep as his thoughts and views on life. Come hear Brooks live in concert and be transported by his songs and stories. February 11: Across the Harbor - "a night featuring many of Baltimore's best singer-songwriters who music is reimagined with the cities' finest instrumentalists from the Bluegrass, Irish, and Old Time music traditions." March 11: Kathy Fahey & Dan Van Allen w/ Caleb Stine - a night of crankies, stories shared on moving scrolls, with melodies and songs by one of Baltimore's most captivating songwriter. ​ April 8: Letitia VanSant - Her gentle singsong might strike you as sweet, but listen a little closer, and you’ll realize she is spitting fire. Baltimore songwriter and winner of the 2017 Kerrville Festival. ​ All concerts start at 7:30pm / Doors at 7:00pm $20 Suggested Donation Church on the Square - 1025 S Potomac St, Baltimore, MD 21224 Must provide proof of vaccination and booster shot (a photo of your card will suffice) Must also wear a mask at all times while inside.
