Let's explore colors together! We all have our favorite colors! Let’s explore color relationships, temperatures, tints and tones. We will learn how to mix and match colors and experiment with new painting techniques each week using acrylic paints, block printing inks and watercolors. Our artwork will range from abstract collages to landscapes and portraits. Week 1: Color and Emotion: Monochromatic Painted Collage Week 2: Warm and Cool Watercolor Studies Week 3: Tints and Tones in Painting LandscapesWeek 4: Complementary Color Printmaking Week 5: Black and White Portraits with Color Pop This five-week program runs on Tuesdays from January 18th -February 15th and is designed for students ages 9-12. A $75 deposit holds your spot and goes toward the tuition of $200.00. Sign up for both Color Me Happy and Light and Shadows for $299.00. Jen Swan is a teaching artist and mural painter who shares her love of art with the diverse community of Worcester and its surrounding cities and towns. Swan is primarily a plein air landscape painter, however, draws influence from many themes, styles and cultures in her artwork. Jen is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design
