Walking Meditation and Yoga at Helmer Nature Center
Let's celebrate the first day of the New Year with a walking meditation and yoga practice outdoors! Our time will begin with a brief meditation and a little mindful movement. We will wander through the Helmer Nature Trail observing our natural world and gathering words in our journals describing what we see. We will stop for yoga and a longer mediation along the way. To culminate our event a journal promt will be provided with time to write.
No meditation or yoga experience required. Bring a smile and open heart.
What to wear: Dress for the weather conditions and walking. Please bring something to sit on (cushion, towel, etc) and a blanket. A blanket is nice when we sit for meditation. You will also need a journal and pen.
Where to meet: We will gather in the parking lot of Helmer Nature Center. Please go to the far end of the parking lot by the grey house.
