Enjoy the first floor Period Rooms of the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum on a 60 min. Guided Tour, featuring the Museum's Holiday Exhibit. The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will kick off the Holiday Season with 60-minute Guided Holiday Tours featuring the new exhibition, Holiday Enchantment at the Mansion, the new juried art exhibition, Envisioning Space: Architecture Through the Ages, and the award-winning Servants' Quarters. Please note that this tour does not visit the 2nd floor bedroom suites or family room. Nominated for the second consecutive year as one of the 10 Best Historic Holiday House Tours in the U.S. by USA Today, the Museum will explore cherished Victorian holiday traditions from the 1850s through the 1890s. It will also feature beautiful 21st-century Christmas trees and seasonal displays by renowned interior designer Victoria Vandamm of Vandamm Interiors and floral designer Danna DiElsi of The Silk Touch. The exhibition, Holiday Enchantment at the Mansion, curated by Museum Consultant Stacey Danielson with the assistance of Trustees Mimi Findlay and Paul Veeder and the LMMM Curatorial Committee, captures the magical excitement of the holiday season with historic-era tree displays, vintage toys, an exploration of the history of Christmas cards, a magnificent Aesthetic Movement holiday dinner party table setting, and glamorous Victorian gowns. COVID-19 Rules and MeasuresThe health and safety of our visitors, volunteers, and staff are our highest priority. Therefore, we continue to implement CDC guidelines and industry standards for best museum practices during the ongoing pandemic. All visitors will have to agree to the following rules and measures established for your visit before purchasing tickets to the Mansion: MASKS • All visitors will be required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. • If you have a medical condition that keeps you from wearing a mask, we ask you to please visit at a later date. • If you do not have a mask available, or your mask is deemed ineffective, the Museum will make a disposable mask available to you. TICKETS• All tickets are available for purchase in advance on the Museum's website: www.lockwoodmathewsmansion.com/programs. Walk-ins are welcome to purchase tickets at the door and subject to availability. TOURS & SOCIAL DISTANCING • Please visit lockwoodmathewsmansion.com for tour schedules and tickets. • Social distancing shall be required for all Staff, volunteers and visitors in the Mansion. Social distancing means keeping 6 feet apart from guests, docents, and staff at all times during your tour. Our protocols on social distancing will be posted on signs around the Mansion. SANITIZING • The Museum will make hand sanitizer available at entrance points and common areas within the Mansion. • We are taking great precautions in cleaning common areas with EPA approved cleaning products. • Rules will be posted on our website and along the tour for your safety.
