The Eta Gamma Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity is celebrating its 50th anniversary in Morehead, KY. We hope you will join us! Friday April 8 11:00 AM Keeneland Tailgate – Pre 50th Anniversary Event (optional) Going to be traveling through Lexington? Enjoy a Keeneland tradition of tailgating prior to the first race. Brother Fred McCarty will set up a location on “The Hill” for everyone to hang out. Look for the Theta Chi Flag. 5:00 – 7:00 PM Registration – Hampton Inn, Morehead A special reception will welcome Theta Chi alumni back to Morehead. Pick up your party favors and enjoy a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres while reconnecting with brothers. The undergraduate chapter will be there selling Theta Chi swag and raffle tickets. Hosted by The Eta Gamma Active Chapter. Dress – Theta Chi Apparel 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM Kickoff party – The Venue Catch some live music with the guys at the old Trail Theatre turned live music bar located on North Wilson Avenue. Food available. Hosted by local brothers and Platinum Sponsor – EDGE Premium Properties. Dress – Theta Chi Apparel Saturday April 9 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM Registration continued for Saturday arrivals – Morehead Conference Center 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM Brunch, Memorial Service, Awards – Morehead Conference Center Start Saturday with brunch with the Brothers. Alumni will conduct a special public ceremony to remember those who have entered The Chapter Eternal. Awards will be presented to brothers who have been members for 25 + years. Scholarships and service awards will also be presented. Dress – Business Formal. Guests are invited to attend. Hosted by Platinum Sponsor – McElroy Packaging 11:45 AM – 1:30 PM Initiation Ceremony – Morehead Conference Center Join the chapter as they initiate the spring pledge class. Members of Alpha Theta Epsilon and Beta Alpha Rho who were not initiated into Theta Chi are encouraged to contact the Alumni Corp. about being initiated during this ceremony. Brothers only. Dress – Business Formal. Noon – 2:00 PM Ladies’ Event While the guys are at initiation, guests will have an opportunity to gather for a fun event. Details to be announced. 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM House and Campus Tours – Theta Chi House Alumni and guests will have the opportunity to tour the chapter house and MSU’s campus. Walking and driving tours will be available. Collegiate brothers will host the tours and highlight the newest residence hall, the Recreation and Wellness Center, the Space Science Center and the Chapter House. 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM Cocktail Reception – Morehead Conference Center Get the evening started with cocktails/hors d’oeuvres. Dress – Cocktail Attire. Cash Bar. 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM 50th Anniversary Banquet This dinner banquet will include special guests from the Grand Chapter, special recognition of Founding Brothers, comments from leaders of each era and much more. Dress – Cocktail Attire 8:00 PM – Midnight 50th Anniversary Founder’s Ball The signature event of the weekend. Celebrate 50 years with a live band playing music from the 60’s till now. Dress – Cocktail Attire. Cash Bar. Bus service will be available from campus to local hotels Friday and Saturday evenings. There will be a hospitality room open at the Hampton Inn for brothers to gather. The chapter house will be closed on Friday evening to ensure the house is presentable for tours on Saturday.
