Join Crystal Collier, Ph.D., LPC-S, as she offers an in-person workshop for families with children on Tues., April 5 at 6:30 p.m. This family event is appropriate for kids 8 years old to college-aged! Families will learn how to apply prevention science principles by creating a family code to use throughout children's developmental stages to protect their brain from the effects of high-risk behavior. Parents and kids will enjoy learning about and creating family traditions that increase family unity and reduce onset of high-risk behavior. Parenting tools such as conversation starter calendar and scripts from Dr. Crystal Collier's prevention book, The NeuroWhereAbouts Guide: A Neurodevelopmental Guide for Parents and Families Who Want to Prevent Youth High-Risk Behavior will be discussed.
