Community Bowl Glazing event for Empty Bowls McKinney
We're glazing bowls for our Empty Bowls McKinney 2022 event. Work with the artists at Make Expressions to paint a bisque bowl and create a work of art. Your creations will become our event bowls. No experience is necessary!
Children 12 and older are welcome and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Empty Bowls McKinney started in 2012 to combat hunger in McKinney. The premise is simple: artists work with the community to create handcrafted bowls, and invite guests to a festive evening with a delicious meal of soup and bread. In exchange for admission, guests may choose and keep a bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls in our community. Thirteen local restaurants create and serve unique soups for the event and more than 100 artists contribute one-of-a-kind bowls. Our proceeds fight hunger in our community. Our beneficiaries are Community Lifeline Center and Community Garden Kitchen. Community Lifeline Center is a non-profit that assists people in short-term crisis in North Collin County. Community Garden Kitchen is the first kitchen in Collin County that will serve hot meals to anyone in need, no questions asked, no paperwork required. Help us fight hunger one bowl at a time at our next event on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
