Join us at Bond Brothers Eastside in downtown Cary for a night of music with Carol Ingbretsen
A native of Raleigh, Carol graduated from NB Broughton High School and attended East Carolina University where she received a Bachelor of Music degree in 1989. Since graduating college, Carol has had the opportunity to sing in various musical situations and styles. These days, Carol focuses primarily on jazz and classical music. Carol has been a featured soloist with The North Carolina Symphony, The Carolina Ballet, The Cary Community Choir, and the Sandhills Community Chorus in Sanford. Professional chorus appearances include Fred Waring & the Pennsylvanians, The National Opera Company, and The Raleigh Oratorio Society. Carol is a member of the North Carolina Master Chorale’s 22-voice professional chamber choir. In collaboration with Rick Motylinski (Lutist and Principal Percussionist with the NC Symphony), Carol performed a series of Renaissance music programs featuring songs by Dowland & Byrd at Mordicai Chapel, Duke Chapel, Duke Hospital, St. Mary’s College, The NC Museum of Art, and the 2002 “Shakespeare in Music” Clinic at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Carol is the featured “chirp” for the Tar River Swing Band of Rocky Mount, NC, and a vocalist with John Brown Jazz Orchestra. Carol was the lead singer for “The Pharmers”, GlaxoSmithKline’s corporate band and winner of the 2006 Triangle Corporate Battle of the Bands. Carol can be heard singing jazz in the area, often accompanied by her husband Paul on acoustic bass or guitar.
