Description
SALEM, MA — A Salem holiday tradition returns for the start of 2022 with the 14th Christmas Tree Bonfire at Dead Horse Beach at Salem Willows.
The event, which was canceled last year amid the coronavirus health crisis, will begin at 6 p.m. on Jan. 6 at the Salem Willows beach. The event will move to the next night in case of inclement weather.
Residents are invited to bring trees with them that night, drop them off at the beach after Jan. 2, or leave them out for curbside pickup the week after Christmas.
Residents are reminded to remove all lights and decorations from the trees.
Curbside tree collection will begin on Dec. 27 and run through Jan. 13. Curbside tree pickup will occur the same day as regular trash collection.
