NEW LONDON, CT — Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident in the area of Bank Street and Jefferson Avenue, police said. The accident occurred at 11:36 a.m. Thursday and it involved two vehicles, police said. The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to the hospital for treatment and later died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident, police said. The accident is under investigation.
