TOMS RIVER, NJ — With Christmas and New Year's falling on Saturdays for 2021, there are no changes in trash and recycling collection for Toms River Township residents. Township officials said the town's Department of Public Works will be open Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Extra recycling pickups that are normally scheduled for Friday will be picked up one day earlier. The Recycling Convenience Center will be closed on Christmas and on New Year's Day.
