Firefighters Tackle Garbage Truck Blaze In Bethel

BETHEL, CT — Emergency crews responded when a garbage truck caught fire Wednesday. Members of the Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company and Bethel Fire & EMS tackled the blaze on Nashville Road Ext at Canaan Drive. Fire officials said the content of the truck was emptied onto the road and the fire quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported.
