Press release from Kendall County Sheriff's Office: 12/23/2021 2:00 PM For Immediate Release Kendall County, IL (December 23, 2021, 11:00 AM) On November 30, 2021, Kendall County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an unincorporated address within Na Au Say Township, Kendall County, where a report was taken for a 27-year-old male allegedly sending inappropriate images to a 16-year-old juvenile acquaintance. After the initial report was filed, Kendall County Sheriff's Detectives conducted an investigation into the matter. On 12/22/2021, members of the Kendall County Sheriff's Office, Kendall County Cooperative Police Assistance Team, and Special Response Team took part in an operation after the 27-year-old male subject, identified as Ryan Pearce, from St Charles, requested to meet with the 16-year-old juvenile to have sexual intercourse. Pearce is alleged to have then travelled to unincorporated Kendall County to meet the juvenile. Pearce was taken into custody without incident at the alleged meeting place. The Kendall County State's Attorney's Office subsequently charged Pearce with traveling to meet a child, a class 3 felony; indecent solicitation of a child, a class 3 felony, and grooming, a class 4 felony. Pearce was also charged with sexual exploitation of a child, a Class A misdemeanor, and distributing harmful material to a minor, a Class A misdemeanor. Pearce remains incarcerated at the Kendall County Corrections Center, and will go before a Judge to have bond set on December 24, 2021.
