LAS VEGAS, NV — Stephanie Lontz recently delivered more than Amazon packages to a northwest Las Vegas neighborhood when she rushed in to stop an aggressive dog from attacking 19-year-old Lauren Ray and her dog, Max. On Dec. 13, Lontz was delivering packages near Ray's home when she honked to get a loose dog out of the street, Fox 5 Las Vegas reported. Meanwhile, Ray had stepped out on her front porch, activating the family's Ring camera before calling the dog over. The dog ran to her, but when Ray's dog, Max, ran out to greet the other dog, things took a terrifying turn. Max and the other dog started fighting, video shows. Ray scooped up Max, but it wasn't enough to deter the other dog as he continued to lunge at Max, ignoring Ray's swats and screams as she tried to drive him away. Meanwhile, Ray's father, Michael, watched the entire incident unfold in real time on his phone. He was in "panic mode," he told Fox 5. "I'm a half an hour away from the house, and literally it's like I'm watching a football game and screaming at it, 'Get in the house, get in the house'" Michael Ray told the television. Suddenly, Lontz appears out of nowhere, wedging herself in between Ray and the aggressive dog. "Get in the house!" Lontz told Ray as she drove the dog back. "It's just amazing how she had no fear and wasn't considering herself or anything," Michael Ray told Fox 5. "It was just that she saw my daughter needing help and came flying in and saved the day." Once Ray and Max were safely in the house, Lontz went back to work — but not before giving the aggressive dog a piece of her mind. "You're a bad dog," she reprimands the pooch, who reportedly was taken by animal control later that day. Days later, Ray and Lontz reunited, and Ray was finally able to thank her unknown helper. "I wish it were different, you know," Lontz told Fox 5. "I wish more people would act, and I'm just glad I was here to do it."
