LEMONT, IL — Although the holiday season may soon be over, plenty of wintry events are still planned in downtown Lemont, including the Ice Fest on Jan. 22.
According to the Village, a live ice sculpting demonstration will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. in the outside patio area by Next Mex. There will also be pre-carved ice block sculptures around downtown to discover and enjoy, the Village said.
The event will also feature hay wagon rides from the Lemont Tractor Club (if temps are above 25 degrees). The Creamery will also be at the event with a free hot chocolate bar and cookie giveaway, while supplies last.
The Village said some downtown businesses are also preparing their own special events on the same day as well.
