Tullytown Cop Saves Baby's Life Using CPR

TULLYTOWN, PA — A Tullytown police officer is being hailed as a hero after he saved the life of an infant the day before Thanksgiving. On Wednesday, Nov. 24, Officer Nate Aldsworth rushed to the home of Kelly Zemartis after a call reported that her five-day-old son, Zachary, has stopped breathing. According to reports, after Zemartis had attempted to perform CPR on the infant, Officer Aldsworth came to the scene and performed the life-saving measures to for over two minutes. After two minutes, the infant Zachary began breathing again. The Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad sent an ambulance over, and Aldsworth gave the infant to EMTs after he continued the delicate procedure of CPR on the young boy. Zachary and his mother were taken to Capital Health in New Jersey before being taken to Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. Staff at Children's Hospital determined the boy had suffered a seizure and put him on medication to keep them under control.
