During the day they are extremely playful and use their arms and paws to interact with little humans to engage in a game of tag and chase. They are excellent at teaching one how to pitch a tennis ball to be caught impressively mid-air. As far as training, their nature is to always be as obedient as possible to their handler and when they are shown disappointment, they often cower and become very emotionally impacted due to their eagerness to please. Black Mouth Curs are also some of the healthiest breed of medium to large size dogs as they were bred for work their performance on ranches and not for their looks although they are very attractive and impressive with their lean bodies and solid muscle mass. If you’re familiar with the breeds of Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Coonhounds, and Boxers then you’ll understand what to expect as they have an origin from these lines but in a smaller more muscular frame at approx 30-60 pounds.
