CLEVELAND — It didn't take long for demand to overwhelm the mass testing site at the W. O. Walker Building garage. On the first day the site opened, Tuesday, cars were turned away three hours after the site opened and the registration portal was eventually closed. The registration portal has reopened and the testing site is now requiring attendees to both register and book an appointment slot. Ohioans still interested in getting a test will now need to book an appointment online before going to the site. If an appointment is booked, you'll need to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled test time. "Everyone must have a confirmed appointment time and a QR code from MAKO to be tested, even if you have previously registered. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate any unscheduled patients," the Ohio Department of Health said in a statement. The mass testing site is operated by the Ohio National Guard and the Ohio Department of Health, at the request of the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals.
