Press release from the City of Fargo:
12/22/2021
The Fargo Police Department (FPD), in conjunction with the Cass County Sheriff's Office, West Fargo Police Department and Moorhead Police Department, is asking business owners to practice burglary prevention measures following a string of dozens of commercial burglaries in the Fargo metro and rural communities since September. Area business owners are encouraged to regularly set alarms, maintain surveillance equipment and secure buildings during non-business hours to lower their risk of being victimized. The Fargo Police Department is working with its law enforcement agency partner organizations to gather additional information and collaboratively investigate these crimes.
The suspect(s) in the commercial burglaries are targeting safes and businesses with large amounts of cash. Investigations suggest the suspect(s) are entering the back door of businesses by utilizing a prybar to enter low security doors.
FPD and its law enforcement partners are encouraging any members of the public who may witness suspicious activity to report it immediately by calling the non-emergency dispatch line at 701.451.7660.
