ROSWELL, GA — A Roswell UPS driver just wanted to congratulate and check on a new mother while delivering a package. Now he and his own family have been receiving gifts from strangers thanking him for his kindness. Dallen Harrell, 24, was making a delivery earlier this month in Roswell, reported WSB-TV. He said he noticed a lawn sign that announced the birth of a baby boy. He left the message on the home's security camera and new mom Jessica Kitchel shared the message on Instagram, writing that she wished she knew the driver's name. When they finally connected, she shared his baby registry links to her page along with giving him her own gift. The day Harrell was working he noticed the sign and said he had just had a baby, too. "If this is the 'It's a Boy' house … I hope all is going well with your newborn," he said on the home's security camera. "I had a child at around the same time you guys did, and I just hope everything is going good. God bless and happy holidays." Kitchel told the Washington Post she was recovering from a Nov. 14 C-section after the birth of her son, Chancy. She wanted to thank the driver, so reached out to UPS. The two were able to connect, according to an Instagram post. Harrell and his fiancee, Taqueria Robinson-Davidson, welcomed their son, Deveraux, on Sept. 16, reported WSB. To thank Harrell, Kitchel left a gift on her porch with diapers, wipes and a stuffed giraffe. She posted a video of their first in-person meeting and linked to Harrell's baby registries at Target and Buy Buy Baby. Harrell told the Washington Post that he's gotten multiple packages a day, mostly from strangers.
