Description
I have a one year old Jack Russel Mix female. She is not fixed! She is up to date on her vaccines. I have had this sweet girl since she was a puppy. We lived in an apartment until recently. We had a balcony on first floor (everyone passed and had access to get to stairs) and we had her on a lead and then in a fence yard thing and we would have to go out because she would be going nuts. People would laugh and run up stairs so I think they were being mean and taunting her. After this she started biting strangers that entered out home. We give them treats to give her treats and after about 30 mins and them talking to her and offering treats still she is fine. She has bit twice. Once was a kid who came in and my daughter took her in backyard where dog was before her dad could get there first and the dog bit her leg (didn't bruise or break skin and parents where there) the dog took up with kid after that and was fine. The second incident was the mom (she was drunk and got in the dogs face when she was asleep) dog bit her hand but did give a warning growl first that was ignored. She didn't break skin or leave a mark so was a warning. She will need worked with to break this behavior. I think it is from the apartment and the taunting. I have major anxiety and health issues so I unfortunately am unable to work with her. This was my emotional support animal and an ES animal can't be aggressive. I am at a loss. I love this dog she is so sweet! Her name is Minnie. She needs a home where someone has the time and experience dealing with behavioral issues. She is house trained and kennel trained.
