My name is Hollis. I'm a bassist 23 y/o. I've been playing on and off for 14 years. I've been getting back into playing again and now I have an urge to play with others. People of any background welcome, just don't be an asshole. Looking for people who want to play music/jam, who also live in the Portland/Gresham area. I don't own a car so I can't go out of the city. I'm not looking to start a band necessarily, but am open to that. I work full-time so this would be a side thing in my spare time for now. Mostly looking to just have fun and make music. One of the few things that always put a smile on my face. I'm not into covers really, just for practice. Looking for people who mainly want to make music. I'm not the best and you don't have to be either. My main influences in music are Fishbone, Rage Against the Machine, The Roots, The Skatalites, Akala, Lowkey (UK), Anti Flag, Ozomatli, Red Hot Chili Peppers (old albums), Bob Marley, Toots and The Maytals, Michael Franti, Proagandhi, and Del Tha Funky Homosapien. I'm open to other music and music I haven't heard, these are just some of my favs. I mostly play a mixed style of punk, rock, funk, hip-hop, and blues. I like a lot of slapping and I'm a finger player. Not opposed to pick playing. 420 friendly and drinking friendly, just not heavy drinking. The only strict requirement I have is that you have to be vaccinated for covid-19. If you're interested email me or call/text.
