Emerson House, a 45 bed memory care community, is seeking a maintenance manager responsible for the upkeep and appearance of our community. Duties include but are not limited to: overseeing the housekeeping and laundry departments; developing community specific fire safety, disaster and evacuation procedures; develop and train staff to conduct fire drills; repair drywall and touch up paint as needed; develop preventative maintenance schedule; maintain contracted services for the community, i.e. HVAC, landscaping, etc.; repair bathroom fixtures and plumbing as needed; and other tasks as assigned by management.
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position, function independently and have the ability to work effectively with the residents, coworkers and others. Must be able to push, pull and move supplies, etc. in excess of 50 pounds. Previous maintenance experience required. Must pass a criminal background check as well as a drug test.
