My name is amber melito and I have experience as a child care provider for the past 20 years for 3 of those years I was working at the boys and girls club. During the last 10 years I have seen how hard it is to find qualified individuals willing to work flexible hours while at the same time making it affordable for your out-of-pocket expenses. I've had real world experience in the work place and also in-home experience. I have had the opportunity to work with children from newborn to 10 years old and have enjoyed every waking experience with them. I have some certification but I'm also working on obtaining my CDA and other certifications in the childcare field. I don't believe that a babysitting or childcare is just about sitting down watching TV but more about the experiences each child obtains while in daycare to help there development. I enjoy reading, learn number, colors, shapes even singing and dancing to child appropriate tunes with them. I a big believer that knowledge is power and teachers are the gateway to that knowledge. Bottom line is that we have a lot of fun together. Some people just choose to care for children without truly understanding there role in that child's life. I choose to be a caregiver because I want to see each and everyone of them succeed in proper growth physically, mentally but above all emotionally.
