Just a shout-out to the young man who helped me out on Monday, 12/20, when I needed a ride from Sheetz back to the Hershey Medical Center. Being from Mifflin County and driving my brother's rental car, I had dropped him off for an appointment and we never thought about him giving me the key fob. As I pulled in to park, I realized I didn't have the key fob and did leave the car running. However, once I placed the car in park, I got the message "key not detected" and then I was unable to take the car out of "park". A call to a Ford dealership confirmed that there was no way to remove the car from "park" without the key fob. So, I either had to walk back to the hospital to get the key and then walk back to Sheetz or find somebody to take me back for the key and then bring me back to Sheetz. This young man, who works nights as an EMT, who was on his way to the gym, agreed to take me to get the key and then bring me back to Sheetz, saving me from about a two-mile walk each time. At age 72 I probably could have made the hikes, but didn't particularly want to. I really appreciated this guy's help and wanted to thank him again.
