Description
good day to anyone looking at this post. It has become evident after playing with plenty of 60 y.o drummers........that the agility to play with great timing, rock energy and retention of the fills and where they belong.
Hate to say it, dont see that much of an issue on older players with other instruments, but drumming is so much more physically demanding, most older players can only do the basics anymore. Not offending anyone, just saying that the type of licks/fills/rolls, the pace of the tunes and such criteria I hear in the music, seems to be too difficult.
I got plenty of friends that still play drums at 70, the agility is not there its just a fact of life....getting older has its limitations.
I know plenty of young people who grew up with dads like me listening to great rock from the 60's american and British, plenty of kick but 70's bands and into early 80's.
We believe perhaps we have been going against the grain too long.....when I have had a young good drummer around for a jam, they are always so much more impressive.
If you like that old material from the hundreds of killer bands, and want to play with some seasoned nice fellows around, well we have some lined up.
Forward a response and I can get you my contact number to talk....have all the drum gear.
