We’re looking for a hard-working and highly motivated carpenters to join our Manhattan construction team. More info: www.westvillagegc.com Responsibilities: - Study blueprints and diagrams to determine construction dimensions. - Measure materials or distances and mark cutting lines. - Cut/saw boards, timbers, and plywood to required sizes. - Assemble and fasten materials to construct structures using bolts, nails, screws, anchor rods, steel cables, planks, wedges, and timbers. - Install rough door and window frames, subflooring, fixtures, or temporary supports - Examine structural timbers and supports to detect decay and replace as required. - Bore boltholes in timber, masonry, or concrete walls, using a power drill. - Dig post holes and set poles to support structures. - Build chutes for pouring concrete. REQUIREMENTS You must have previous hands-on experience as a rough carpenter, preferably in high-end residential construction.
