Landscape architects, designers & friends: Happy New Year! Join us outdoors by the firepit as we look ahead to the upcoming year. In person. Outdoors. Please join us on Wednesday, January 12 for some winter-y, outdoor fun. Over drinks and a fire, we'll connect with old friends, meet new folks, and talk about landscape architecture in Maine. . . All are welcome! This event celebrates our landscape architecture community. ASLA members and non-members, newcomers and longtime leaders, designers and builders and colleagues and friends, join us for a casual evening of reconnection and good cheer. Johanna and Steven, the new co-chairs of the ASLA/BSLA Maine Section, will lead an informal brainstorm about where we are, where we want to go, and what we'd like to do in 2022. We'll gather outside at Oxbow Brewing & Bottling in Portland. Their outdoor bar includes a firepit, patio heaters and picnic table seating. NEW: Tickets are free though limited; RSVP required. Appetizers will be provided. The first 20 to RSVP receive a free drink ticket (21+). See you there. . . A special note: The news is scary, and we're paying attention.Your health matters. Pandemic mindfulness matters, and we are watching the evolving Covid guidance daily. This is why tickets are limited. To the greatest extent possible we will be outside with social distancing. Please dress for the weather! Masks required indoors. We'll be in touch via email with any changes. As we get to know Omicron, if it seems more prudent to postpone this gathering, we'll do that.
