Have you collected a few plants over the past few months or looking to buy a plant at Shop Made in VA? Then take some time to create a one-of-a-kind alcohol ink-painted pot to put your plant in! This course will teach you basic alcohol ink techniques which include color blending and drying and how that translates to a curved ceramic surface. There will be some practice before working on your pot to make sure you get comfortable with the techniques. This event will include practice surfaces that you can keep if you want, a pot, and access to shared supplies.

Jessica Lopez-Enriquez is an Alexandria, Virginia based alcohol ink artist and owner of The Gorilla and the Pig. Jessica has been a maker since she was very little and over time has focused on abstract art. Abstract art with alcohol ink really takes into account your environment and mood so it is a great way to connect with yourself and your environment. Jessica also holds a masters degree in clinical mental health and is a full time child and adolescent trauma therapist. Previous to this she worked in daycares and was a nanny!
