Flandreau Premiere of Valentine Crush! Produced and directed by Jamie Wede. Here's your chance to see one of the most special screenings of Valentine Crush! The screening will be held at The Flandreau Crystal Theatre, where Jamie attended movies in elementary school and first started to dream about making movies someday! The theatre would reopen when Jamie was in high school, where he continued to attend screenings and even perform in plays. The film is a roller derby thriller and involves a derby skater who gets in a little over her head when she meets her number one fan. Preceding the film is the short film, "Eat the Rainbow". It's a fun musical comedy made in San Francisco. Jamie has a supporting role as a racist neighbor and sings and dances in a musical number. Jamie thought Flandreau might miss him singing and dancing. There will also be another short, "Miss Understood Monster" from New York. It was written and produced by a couple of friends of Jamie's and features music from one of the same musicians featured on Valentine Crush's soundtrack. Following the film, we will watch two music videos by Kristen Ford, that were written for the film and directed by Jamie as well. Kristen Ford is coming from Nashville and will be in attendance at the screening. After the screening, there will be a live Q and A with Jamie Wede and Valentine Crush writer and co-producer, Leah Simmons. Tickets will be $8 in advance or $10 at the door.
