CMG Weightlifting Club presents the 2022 Frederick Open After a 2-year delay, the Frederick Open has finally returned to the Maryland weightlifting scene! This will be a small, one platform meet ideal for newer lifters, and can also serve as a last chance qualifier for Nationals. Please read important information below: ELIGIBILITY: Open to all current USAW registered athletes. Join or renew expired membership through the USAW website before March 20, 2022. Expired members will not be allowed to compete. Athletes are responsible for ensuring that their memberships are current. We will be checking your membership at weigh-ins, so please make sure to print your card or have it on your phone. RULES: The current USAW and IWF rules are available at: https://www.teamusa.org/USA-Weightlifting/About-Us/Governance-and-Financial/Bylaws-Technical-Rules-and-Policies/Rules Of particular note regarding rules- >Photo ID and proof of current USAW registration are required at weigh-in. >All lifters must wear a singlet to compete. >Athletes must declare their opening attempts in the snatch and the clean & jerk in kilos at weigh-in. SANCTION: USA Weightlifting Sanction Number TBD AWARDS: We will have unique awards for Best Lifter for each session. REFUND POLICY: We will not be issuing refunds for this competition, so please make sure you are able to attend before registering! When we issue a refund, we are liable for both the Eventbrite and PayPal fee for both the buyer and the seller. Please please please, do not sign up if you aren't sure you can attend.
