Press release from the City of Clearwater: 12/22/2021 2:03 PM CLEARWATER, Fla. -- City of Clearwater offices, libraries and recreation facilities will be closed on Friday, Dec. 24, in observance of the Christmas holiday, and Friday, Dec. 31, in observance of New Year's Day. There will be no changes to the solid waste and recycling collection schedule for residential and commercial collections, as crews will be working. Contact Clearwater Solid Waste Operations with questions at (727) 562-4920. All Clearwater library branches will be closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. Some book returns may be temporarily closed; however, there are no overdue fines. To renew items and check due dates, please call the automated service line at (727) 286-6894 anytime. All Clearwater recreation centers will be closed Dec. 24, Dec. 25, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. On Friday, Dec. 24, the Harbormaster's office is closed, and the Clearwater Airpark will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Christmas Day, the fuel dock, Downtown Harbor Marina dock master's office, and Clearwater Airpark are all closed. On Friday, Dec. 31, the Harbormaster's office is closed, and the Clearwater Airpark, fuel dock, and Downtown Harbor Marina dock master's office will all be open.
