K-9 Plushies Sales Raises $14K For Waukesha Fund

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI— The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department announced it raised $14,000 in K-9 plush dog sales. The money was donated to the United for Waukesha Fund. The Waukesha County Community Foundation, United Way of Greater Milwaukee and the Waukesha Education Foundation established the United for Waukesha Community fund to raise money for those impacted after a man drove through marchers and spectators, killing six people and injuring more than 60. The plush dogs are currently sold out, but more will be available in mid- January, the sheriff's department said on Facebook. "We want to thank everyone for their support in purchasing the K9 plush dogs, at this time we're currently sold out. We're working on purchasing more K9 plush dogs. We will update this page when they become available. We're still taking donations," the post said. In November the department dropped off 40 K-9 plushies at Children's Wisconsin Hospital. The sheriff's department started selling the plushies with 100% of the profits going to the United for Waukesha Community Fund. Each dog costs $20 and can be purchased at the department.
