Nassau Police ID Woman Killed In Jericho Turnpike Crash

WESTBURY, NY — Nassau County police have identified the woman who was killed in a car crash in Westbury last week. According to police, at 10:39 p.m. on Dec. 12, 30-year-old Karla Maricela Donaire-Florez, of Glen Head, was turning her 2009 Chevy Impala out of Westbury Manor, located at 1100 Jericho Turnpike, to go east on Jericho Turnpike, when she was hit by a 2016 BMW driven by an 18-year-old man, which was driving east on Jericho Turnpike. Donaire-Florez suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by a police medic. The driver of the BMW was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
