More Beverly Coronavirus Rapid Tests Available Thursday

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly officials said the city's distribution of state- and city-purchased rapid coronavirus tests will continue with another batch of the free at-home tests available Thursday at Lynch Park. The distribution is the second this week after hundreds of residents received tests on Tuesday. Officials said Thursday's distribution is for those households that did not get them at the Tuesday distribution. Those picking up tests are required to provide proof of residence — a photo ID or utility bill. Tests will be available from noon to 6 p.m. as long as supplies last. The distribution is, in part, from the city's allotment of the 2.1 million state-purchased tests made available to 102 cities and towns across the commonwealth last week. "In recent weeks, the city has also moved to secure our own supply of rapid antigen test kits," Beverly Mayor Mike Cahill said in a message to the community Monday night.
