Crash On Manchester Lawn Gives Cops Break In Stolen Car Cases

MANCHESTER, CT — Two teens were arrested Wednesday afternoon after a stolen car wound up on the lawn of a Manchester property, police said. At about 1 p.m., Manchester officers responded to the area of Church and Center streets for a car crash, according to a report. A witness told police that a car, later determined to be a 2014 Honda Accord, made a left turn from the Citgo station at 119 Center St. onto Church Street and began heading south, according to a report. The Honda hit an unoccupied vehicle on Church Street, veered across a lawn and came to a rest in the front yard of 15 Church St., a report indicates. Police said they then learned the car was stolen from the Citgo station. The suspects were identified as Nisaiah Delgado and Jordon Tromley, both 18 out of Hartford. Tromley was charged with second-degree criminal trover and second-degree larceny. Delgado was charged with second-degree larceny, second-degree criminal trover, evading responsibility and driving without a license. Delgado and Tromley were each being held on $100,000 bonds and are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday. Police said investigators have reason to believe the two have been involved in other other motor vehicle thefts that took place in Manchester over the past week. Additional charges are pending, according to police.
