MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Hello neighbors! Welcome to our weekly events roundup, where we tell you about what's happening in Mercer County. It's the holiday weekend so we bring you some fun events to enjoy with family. Since New Jersey is seeing a spike in COVID-19 cases, officials say it's best to be masked up, boosted, and get tested to better enjoy the season. For vaccine clinics, click here. Here's are some events we think you might enjoy: Trenton Brass Quintet Holiday Performance, NJ State Museum Auditorium, 205 W State St: As part of Trenton's Patriots Week, the Trenton Brass Quintet will perform a free concert in the NJ State Museum Auditorium on Dec. 26 at 3 p.m. The concert will be a mix of holiday favorites. Masks are required for all attendees over the age of 2. For more information, click here. 69th Annual Christmas Day Crossing Reenactment, Washington Crossing Historic Park and Nelson House, River Dr, Titusville: Each December, thousands of people gather on the banks of the Delaware River to watch the reenactment of George Washington's daring 1776 Christmas night river crossing. During the event, several hundred reenactors in Continental military dress listen to a speech by General Washington and then row across the river in replica Durham boats. The 69th annual Christmas Day crossing reenactment is set for Saturday, December 25, from noon to 3 p.m. Admission is free. Holiday Film Fest - Gremlins, Hopewell Theater, Hopewell: Enjoy the holidays with a movie. On Sunday, Dec. 26, at 2 p.m., Hopewell Theater will be screening the movie Gremlins. Trenton Battlefield Walking Tour, Starbucks Community Store, 102 South Warren Street: On Dec. 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the 10-block interpretive walk will bring to life the events of the two battles of Trenton. Broad and Warren Streets turn back to Queen and King Streets as Washington's shivering troops approach from two directions to strike the German regiments. Admission of free. Guests can gather at Starbucks at 9 a.m. for a question-and-answer session over coffee. The tour begins at 10 a.m. and includes the historic Trenton Battle Monument, ending up along Assunpink Creek in Mill Hill Park. Ralph Siegel of Trenton Battlefield Tours will lead the walk with block-by-block, minute-by-minute narrative. Festival of Trees, Morven Museum and Gardens, Princeton: Visit the Morven Museum for the holiday exhibition, Festival of Trees. Enjoy a collection of ornamental trees and mantels displayed throughout the museum's galleries.
