By: Bay City News SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo police arrested three people Monday in connection with two thefts, one of a vehicle and the other from a pharmacy. Officers responded to a 4:19 p.m. report of a stolen vehicle parked at a filling station in the 300 block of South Delaware Street. When officers made contact with the three people inside the vehicle — two women from San Mateo and one Hayward man — all three fled on foot but were quickly apprehended. Officers arrested 29-year-old Steve Munoz, of Hayward, on suspicion of multiple offenses, including grand theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, second-degree burglary and delaying, resisting or obstructing a public official. Police said Munoz was also responsible for a grand theft from the nearby CVS Pharmacy. The two female suspects — Angela Baca, 31, and Breiza Sandoval, 28 — were arrested on outstanding warrants and all three were booked into San Mateo County Jail. Copyright © 2021 Bay City News, Inc.
