***URGENT! NEED A FOSTER ASAP! DAVIS WILL BE PUT DOWN ON DEC 23 IN THE AM.....IF YOU CAN FOSTER THIS BOY PLEASE FILL OUT THE APPLICATION.....WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME. PLEASE READ POST....he is not kenneling well at the shelter and is very stressed. Davis is a 3 yr old mastiff mix, he is tail wagging and happy to see the familiar handler. He approached for petting and treats. He is treat motivated. Which is useful when working with dogs. He even climbs into handlers lap to solicit attention. (He weighs 89 pounds) He must of needed lovins and felt safe enough to do that! We do not know how Davis is with other dogs, as the shelter is not doing dog evaluations currently, but he did approach his neighbor’s kennels with tail wags and a whine as if to say, I’m sorry we have to be stuck here. Nowhere in his notes does it show that he was reactive to other dogs. Davis would thrive as your soul mate but if you have other dogs he would need to be separated while he adjusts to his new home then a slow introduction. Unfortunately, 😢 the shelter is not giving him the time he needs out and a foster by Dec 23 Davis needs a patient quiet foster to help him along his way and to save his life. .
