Press release from Butler School District 53: December 21, 2021 Dear District 53 Community, Yesterday, Board of Education Member Laura Bieselin submitted her resignation from the Butler School District 53 Board of Education effective immediately. We are grateful for her contributions as a graduate of our school district and resident of our school community. Under her leadership as chair of the Education Committee, District 53 continued to enhance the academic programs within our district and received a third National Blue Ribbon School award for Butler Junior High School. Please join me in thanking Laura for her more than three years of dedicated service to our district. Per Board Policy, the Board of Education will accept résumés through 5:00 PM on Friday, January 14, 2022 from District 53 residents who are interested in filling this vacancy. The term for this vacancy goes until April 2023. After reviewing the applications, the Board may invite the prospective candidates for personal interviews to be conducted during duly scheduled closed meetings.
