MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN — Life in the restaurant business is never easy, and year two of the coronavirus pandemic certainly didn't make life any easier for the owners and chefs of the Twin Cities. "Fingers crossed to potentially re-open if we get a boost from the recent relief legislation. We wish to thank each and every one of you for your steadfast friendship, support and loyalty over the past 10 years. It's truly been a great ride (notwithstanding this year). We also hold our staff and their families in our hearts and thank them for their dedication and endurance over the past 10 months. Without you we could not have stayed open this long. Please visit us over at #foodsmithpub and stay in touch...auf wiedersehen for now" You can read an interview with the owners here. Many other businesses in the Twin Cities closed their doors due to the pandemic as well. You can view a list here. William Bornhoft contributed to this report.
