Press release from the City of Champaign: December 21, 2021 Champaign experienced two high wind events last week, and Public Works street sweepers responded quickly to clean up the fallen leaves in order to keep them from clogging storm drains. The map below shows the areas of town covered (so far) by City crews who worked 10-hour days for more than a week. City crews are still out working on sweeping up other areas of town so please give them a little extra room and park off the streets whenever possible so they can do their work more efficiently and safely.
