DEARBORN, MI — Two men were charged Tuesday in connection to an armed robbery of a local Dearborn business, officials said.
Thaddeus Bell and Brandon Bragg were charged with several felonies by the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, including armed robbery, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, felonious assault and felony firearm, authorities said.
They were arraigned before the Honorable Judge Gene Hunt of the 19th District Court where Bell was placed in the Wayne County Jail and Bragg was issued a $300,000 cash bond with GPS tether should he be released, authorities said.
Officers said they responded to a local business on the 7500 Block of Wyoming on a report of an armed robbery.
One of the men entered the business wearing a surgical mask with all black clothing and fired a shot at the victim in the store, police said.
After firing a shot, he stole several items from the store and fired another shot at a second victim while leaving, police said.
Nobody was struck and there were no injuries, police said.
Both Bell and Bragg were arrested Thursday in connection to the incident, authorities said.
"This is a heinous crime that is totally unacceptable," Dearborn police Chief Ronald Haddad said. "We are thankful that no one was injured and we will dedicate all of our resources to identifying the person involved and bringing him to justice."
