ASAP Glass Company Hiring Position: General Laborer Glass Installers Glass Company is seeking an intelligent and motivated individual with a basic knowledge of some construction skills and a willingness to assist and learn installing commercial glass for companies. Experience is beneficial, but more critical is thinking to see and identify needs and be willing to follow directions and learn. A typical day will consist of checking in with the superintendent and receiving a list of tasks for the day outlined and discussed. You will then be responsible for performing the functions in a reasonable time frame and to a whole level of completion. Job requirements: *The schedule will be negotiated but consistent week to week. Timeliness and attitude expectations require and respect for ALL clients. *If the start time is 7:00, then at 6:55, you are expected to be on-site, dressed appropriately for the day, and ready for work. *You will be expected to focus and keep other issues from interfering with your work *You will not be asked to do anything your supervisor wouldn’t or hasn’t done themselves but will be required at times to do things you don’t want to with the understanding it is for the benefit of the project which employs you. Professional appearance and behavior *Must be able to interact and communicate with coworkers and supervision respectfully and professionally that reflects company values. Possess basic knowledge of industry practice for completion of general site management tasks. *This includes but is not limited to: *Unloading materials and shipments weighing up to 70# unassisted. *Responsible operation of equipment such as work platforms, hand tools, basic paperwork, and read a tape measure is helpful skills a plus *Site cleanup of occasionally heavy debris *Maintain safety barriers and safety equipment as directed *Assist with subcontractor tasks and material needs *General tool and facilities maintenance as instructed *Willingness and ability to wear safety required by the site safety program *This includes a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves. *All training and equipment will be provided *Complete daily report identifying hours worked, tasks completed, upcoming needs for next shift. *Previous commercial construction experience is helpful but if you are handy and willing to learn. *Reliable transportation and we will provide a ride to the worksite. *Ability to anticipate a need and fill it *Willingness to learn and grow *Basic personal hand tool. Starting pay is up to $20/hr. Depending on experience with the opportunity to grow into increasing roles and responsibilities. We are a general contractor glass company if this is you.
