PREVIOUS POST;;;; The town board just awarded a 20 year lease to a yacht club on the north shore. It is town land and supposed to be open to all town residents as town attorney and others stated. Panico made his usual doubletalk statements seemly agreeing it should be open to all residents etc, but he voted to approve the lease while the entire board ignored the fact that it was NOT open to all residents but just to MEMBERS or their guests. The COMMANDER of the yacht club testified it was open to MEMBERS ONLY or their guests !!!!!!! THE ENTIRE BOARD,THE SUPERVISOR AND THE TOWN ATTORNEY completely ignored the testimony it was for members only or their guests, and voted for approval !!!!!!!!! Meanwhile there was another bidder for more money to the town/taxpayers but was NOT considered The Supervisor stated that real estate taxes will be payed by the club ! THIS STATEMENT by him shows his lack of knowledge of leases because all who lease propertys pay the taxes one way or another DUH!!!! this is another indication that CROOKHAVEN DID NOT LEAVE THE BUILDING !!!! More than a MILLION dollars involved here and maybe some under the table.??????
