To be considered for position, submit application on company website: Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Skilled Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance operations in the Dallas, TX area during the day shift, mid shift, and night shift. This position is based in Grand Prairie, TX and requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, signs, guardrail and/or drainage and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. ***Special $500 Hiring Bonus Opportunity for Maintenance Technicians Only*** New hires for our Maintenance Technicians on the Texas Regional Travel Crew are eligible for a $500 hiring bonus. * *Rehires are not eligible for this special hiring bonus. Promotion begins 11/30. Must start with Jorgensen on or before January 31, 2022 and be an active employee at the time of payout. ($200 will be paid out after 60 days and then $300 after 120 days past hire date.) Bonuses are taxable and included with normal pay schedule. Required Experience: Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools Air compressor operations familiarity Minimum 2 years of related experience Must have a valid Driver's License Construction or Roadway maintenance experience Guardrail and Sign installation experience Concrete forming/repair experience MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses) Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator Preferred Experience:Roadway maintenance experience CDL license a plus Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required Clean driving record is essential Must pass criminal background check Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing) Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations Carry out simple arithmetic functions Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology Ability to use smart phone and applications Ability to adjust to changing work schedule Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds Ability to operate hand/power tools Schedule: Full time; Day, Mid and Night shift available. Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.
